The Ganden Choeling Buddhist Tibetan Studies Center ( Joyful Garden of Dharma) is a religious organization with no political, merchandising or lucrative goals, which was started in the year 1994 and registered in the Registry of Religious Organizations of the Ministry of Justice under the number 408-SG. It is ruled by a general assembly of members, a spiritual direction and a management board. This last one is chosen by members votations every two years, at a general meeting.

The founder and spiritual guide of the C.E.B.T.Ganden Choeling was Venerable Kyabje Khensur Rimpoche Tamding Gyatso. Khen Rimpoche Tamding Gyatso was sent to Spain by H.H the Dalai lama in the year of 1987.

He was invited to deliver teachings to other Spanish cities during his stay in Menorca. He started the Shedrub Choeling Center in Gandia, Chakrasamvara Seville and Ganden Choeling La. Coruña.

After his passing to paranirvana, Venerable Geshe Tenzing Tamding took over the position of director and spiritual guide of his centers in Spain as a chosen successor of Khen Rimpoche Tamding Gyatso.

He has founded around 15 Buddhist Centers more, in the Peninsula and Canary Island, also Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Korea, Japan), South of America(Ecuador, Nicaragua, Colombia), United State, Mexico, Bulgaria since then. (check the link : Centros de Gueshe).


The goal of the centre is to provide a favourable environment for the mental development, which awakens spirituality and inner peace, finding thus true happiness or ultimate happiness and helping all beings to leave suffering. This would all happen by using the method of the Buddhist Philosophy following the Mahayana tradition as established by the great master the 14th Century Lama Tsong Khapa.

It deals with working against the selfish mind, the self existence vision, anger , envy, jealousy, etc. This wrong mind is according to the Buddhist Philosophy the cause that there is no peace in the world, at a Governments level or at our society and families levels, and that results into wars and domestic abuses.

These teachings are delivered by qualified masters, educated in the uninterrupted tradition and lineage of the Tibetan Buddhism. All this would occur in the frame of a non-sectarian perspective, open to the interrelation and dialogue with all the spiritual traditions in the world. The inclusion of the Buddhist practice in the daily life is also one of its goals, adapting the message of the practice to our everyday life needs.

This inspires the practitioners to build their well-being by means of different techniques and field of human overall development, all adapted to our society. It includes active action in social life, introducing new ethics inspired by a humanism that arises from an internal revolution.
